Grid Electrics Group is expanding its dedicated engineering team. We are offering an exciting long-term career opportunity for a talented Commercial Solar PV Draftsman / Designer to design high-performance commercial solar projects across Australia.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

Remote / Work from Home – Philippines based.

 

WORKING HOURS

Must be able to work 8 hours per day aligned with Australian business hours.

 

COMPENSATION

Rate/Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, qualifications, technical skills, and Australian Solar PV experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare Commercial Solar PV panel layouts and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Assist with Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and construction drawings.
  • Review tender documents and project specifications.
  • Assist with basic solar PV system costing.
  • Prepare project proposals using company templates.
  • Review project drawings and identify equipment and material requirements.
  • Update drawings and proposals based on project/client requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project team members.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate and completed within deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Commercial Solar PV Design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Experience preparing Commercial Solar PV Panel Layouts.
  • Familiarity with PVsyst.
  • Familiarity with Orkestra or similar solar design software.
  • Able to read and understand tender documents, technical drawings, and project specifications.

AUSTRALIAN EXPERIENCE

Experience working on Australian Commercial Solar PV projects is highly preferred.

  • Australian Commercial PV design practices
  • AS/NZS 3000
  • AS/NZS 5033
  • AS/NZS 4777
  • Australian electrical documentation
  • DNSP requirements
  • Australian construction and tender documentation
